The Team

Thankyou to all our sponsors  250 club members and supporters. Without your help and imput this result would not have been possible.

Kieran and Jamie have finished day 2 of the Nelson Rally in 3rd for the day and 5th overall for the rally. First local home. A great effort in securing  a top result after the huge crash of 2009 that totally destroyed the car, this result will truely be one to remember as proof that you can overcome mountains. Well done team!

A good day at the office a bit frustrated with the handling of the car in stage one but a much improved effort this afternoon and we have finished 8th overall for the day. Look forward to more results tomorrow. A great service team effort today.Stage one I remember last year but that is behind me and yes that corner is well marked in the notes for tomorrows 2 passes.

Some tricky roads made slippery by the recent rain. A few rough patches but it will be the same for everyone.

Nelson Rally on today. Currently Kieran and Jamie out doing recce and checking out the roads.

Keep an eye on progress www.chrissport.co.nz

" IT'S AIR TIME "     Hella bridge jump this sunday at Whangarei .

Results for Rally Whangerei  www.chrissport.co.nz  updates over the weekend on here.

Weather conditions appalling today heavy rain and slippery bridges. Unfortunatly our efforts have been undone by a small bridge and a 90 left. We have withdrawn with damage after hitting the bank . We continued for a further 2 km but dicided to withdraw to avoid more damage. It was a hard stage with 3 other more experienced driver talking intimately with the same bridge and bank suffering damage that also caused them to withdraw. Many other drivers have had lucky escapes all day.

Wow a good day at the office but I managed to scratch it and give the service crew a work out!! Sorry guys will face up to another good day tomorrow although it sounds like we are going to get very very wet if the rain they are saying is going to hit in the morning. It rains really hard up here so it could be very interesting.

Shakedown was great with the car performing very well. It really is great to have  a skid again.

Recee done and not so dusted this time. The roads are quite wet and slippery in places. Road position will play a hand this weekend I'm sure. The dust that was present for rally NZ is not here this time.

The team will keep the website updated as much as they can throughout the weekend. Its now time to get out on the stages have fun and spread some gravel.

News Flash!!! Kieran has qualified for the Pirelli Shootout at WRC Australia Sept 09. He is 1 of only 2 drivers selected from New Zealand after quailifying at the Asia Pacific Rally of Whangarei early June 2009. The young driver that wins this Shootout from the 14 drivers from around the Asia Pacific Region will win the prize of 6 fully funded drives in the Production Car World Rally Championship next year. Fellow Kiwi driver Mark Tapper was the lucky recipient of this award last year and is currently enjoying his prize driving this year.

When Hall Motorsport are travelling to each event, they are of high presentation in team apparel and the car is always presented to the highest standard for maximum exposure of our sponsors. The team also wear their smart apparel to prize-giving and any other rally promotions of which they are attending.

Aside from Kieran and Erin, the team consists of 6 very dedicated people, who not only support Kieran and Erin but work hard before and on the day of a rally.  They are his parents Colin and Jenny. Paul (Splitty) Heath has taken the role of Team Service Manager and will be assisted by Grahame Haines (Wobblz),Steve, Andrew and Craig. They travel to every rally and on rally day they are waiting for Kieran to come into service and fulfil the car, driver and co-driver’s needs. Kieran has a lot of support from other people around him, who contribute in various areas, to get him ready for the challenges ahead.
